The M1D4-12 is one of the better premium marine subwoofers available if you want a balance of output, durability, and RGB styling. It’s especially strong in boats and powersports builds where exposure to water, mud, and sunlight would quickly destroy traditional car-audio subwoofers.

The Rockford Fosgate M1D2-12B is the dual 2-ohm version of Rockford’s premium 12-inch Color Optix marine subwoofer lineup. Compared to the M1D4-12B, the biggest difference is the voice coil configuration, which allows easier wiring for high-power 1-ohm amplifier systems commonly used in boats, Jeeps, UTVs, and powersports builds.
